Our training workshops are currently online unless stated otherwise. They teach you how to study God’s Word so that you can know Him and have a transformed life or equip you to lead your own Bible study group.
We offer our training at no charge or at a minimal charge so all can join us. Please consider making a donation to further the work of Precept New Zealand.

How to Study the Bible: Essential Foundations
FREE
In this course, you’ll discover the essential foundations of Precept’s Inductive Study Method. With practical tools and step-by-step guidance, you’ll be equipped with the skills to study the Bible more deeply, grow in understanding, and apply what you learn to your everyday life.
A hands-on approach to studying the Bible, you’ll learn to dig into Scripture on your own, uncovering God’s truths directly from the text, rather than relying on others to tell you what it means.

In 1.5 hours you will learn what Inductive Bible Study is and how to apply it in your own life. Suitable for churches, cell groups and ministry staff.

How to STUDY the Bible using Precept Upon Precept (Genesis Part 3)
In this course, we will take you step-by-step and show you how to effectively use Precept Upon Precept (or PUP); arguably Precept’s most rewarding Level 5 study. There are instructional videos to help you learn, and quizzes that help you review what you have learnt. In all, it takes about 5+ hours, which is the length of one PUP lesson. Once you have completed the course, it is available for you to go back and review what you’ve learned at anytime.
The resource we will be working through together is the Genesis Part 3 (ESV) PUP Lesson 1 and is available as a free download along with other student materials.

Precept-Upon-Precept: How to Study and/or Lead (Beginner/Refresher)
Having learnt how to study Precept Upon Precept (PUP), we invite you to join us as we take you step-by-step and show you have to lead a PUP discussion. There are instructional videos to help you learn, and quizzes that help you review what you have learnt. In all, it takes about 2-3 hours.
Before starting this course we recommend that you have at least completed our first course, “How to study the Bible using Precept Upon Precept” (Genesis Part 3) or have previous experience leading PUP discussions.
