Precept News Letter

May, 2014

Do you like to receive mail? I do. I love to hear how people are getting on with their Bible studies, how they plan ahead and how they walk in His ways. I want to share with you what I have recently received. May you be inspired and encouraged

In Him,

Barbara Kipfer

Letters from Prison

Do you remember John (name changed) from Auckland prison in last month's newsletter? We sent him the 40 Minute study “The Power of Knowing God”. He has time on his hands and a willingness to study God's Word. How do we know? He contacted us just a few days ago and I was able to already send him his certificate!

But that is not all. We also received another letter from the same prison. John must have shared with another man who also requests Bible studies.

However, my heart is heavy! If only we had a facilitator who knows the Lord Jesus Christ, obeys Him and is willing to go to Auckland prison! We would love to train and send him (or her, if we don't find a man!) Nevertheless, we trust the Lord that He would continue to open prison doors and people's hearts so He can enter in!

A Feedback from Prison

I came to prison wanting a new path. I was lost spiritually. I thought I would give God a try and when I did, it felt like what I wanted I had finally.
Not forgiving held me back in life and I took all the wrong paths, All leading to the devil.
FORGIVENESS: BREAKING THE POWER OF THE PAST has shown me the way to my new journey.
I didn't believe like Jacob's sons and never believed. I went through some hard times. I heard all the messages but never listened.
Forgiveness: I never knew how much it meant till now.
I forgave for the first time and have faith and it has made my soul and shoulders lighter. Because I forgave and have learned that everyday. I need to continue and ask God to help when I'm stuck and I read my Bible when I am feeling lost at night to put me at ease.
Lesson 4 was an eye opener for me: Galatians 5:19 was my past.
Colossians 3:1-10 is what I wish to be, with everyday help from God.
Thank you for my new beginning

A Prayer

Lord I thank you for what you are doing through Precept Ministries.
I thank you for the vision and passion of the people who are teaching your word using this method.
I pray that they would see the good fruit of their time and commitment and calling.
May they know that none of your words return to you without accomplishing your purposes as rain waters the earth.
May your Word reveal Jesus and our Father in Heaven through His Holy Spirit.
You know what each person needs at any time so feed your people.
Let your Word transform our lives and those who don’t know you yet.
Let your truth set the prisoners free and then transform their families.
Lord would you continue to provide for Precept Ministries and would you continue to open new doors for them. I also ask that you would send the people to run Bible studies in the churches and in the prisons and in the community.
I ask all this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
