Establishing People in God's Word

Precept News Letter

Mar, 2013

February has been full on. Not only have 2 new facilitators joined us to go into prison, but 2 current facilitators have also decided to lead classes at Spring Hill prison. Now we can have 8 classes instead of 4! It thrills my heart that we can cater for more prisoners – and I keep on trusting the Lord to add to our facilitators to reach the other men and women who would also like to attend our classes.

In mid-February I was in Ashburton training eight people at the same time. I also led about one hundred people through Psalm 46. I had never done either of these before and I am thankful how well it all went. Praise God for that! The exciting part is that 4 of the facilitators are already leading 3 classes, one of which is with their youth.

Early this month we are expecting a pallet of Bible studies to arrive from the States. I am so thankful that the Lord orchestrated that the 13 new groups starting this month ordered titles other than those four that we had run out of :-) By the way we will have 3 new titles available:

1. Breaking Free from Fear, 40 Minute study
2. The Power of Knowing God, 40 Minute study
3. Cracking the Covenant Code, D4Y

I have studied them all, LOVE them and highly recommend them!

As the work of Precept is growing we need to expand our team in every way. Please consider participating in what the Lord lays on your heart.

  • Join those who give a monthly or occasional donation for use in establishing God's people in God's Word. Funds are needed to train people, for travel, for administration or for sponsoring Bible studies
  • Offer your skills as one of our high impact volunteers. Areas available - administration, website, stock take. Let's discover how you can contribute so that we, together as a team, can change New Zealand from the inside out
  • Get information for training to facilitate a 40 Minute study to see whether teaching may be your cup of tea

If you are interested in reading the New Zealand Precept Report 2012 please contact me.

Rejoicing in what God is doing, in and through us all, so early in this new year! :-)
Let us stand together in Him.

In Him,
Barbara Kipfer
National Coordinator for Precept Ministries New Zealand

Pray for:

  • New leaders to be added to our team and for new classes to begin all over NZ
  • Key people to get in contact with us, to be trained and to lead others out of their apathy
  • People to join Precept classes: PUP and email classes, church groups, home groups, prison groups
  • More facilitators to lead studies with (ex)-prisoners
  • The safe arrival and customs release for the pallet of books en route from the USA
  • 3 different youth groups studying 40 Minute studies, and 1 church studying PUP Philippians.

Thank the Lord for:

  • Providing far and beyond my imagination: spiritually, financially, support, people, friendships in Him
  • Prison work: 22 classes with over 100 students, 2 new leaders
  • 13 new classes with nearly 150 students, 110 new to Precept, 10 new leaders of whom 3 don't, as yet, :-) lead classes - yet
    Successful training in Asbhurton
  • An audit wonderfully done
  • One key person contacting us, new leaders staring new classes.

PS: We are financially self-supporting.
Expenses (book handling, mail out, advertising, administration costs, purchase of books etc) are fully paid from our income (book sales and donations).
